Fromia
My newest poem which is dedicated to what it means to exist without desire for another, to remain whole and complete in yourself. Fromia, the starfish genus, becomes a mirror, its’ limbs repeating themselves, multiplying, surviving alone.
It is about being self-contained, about the quiet state of enduring without witness, without need. Limbs press into water and stone not to grasp, but to memorize themselves.

Hi, I’m Lorynth
I am Lorynth. I’m an aspiring poet who writes to cope with everyday life and feelings. As somebody who often struggles with expressing my feelings and mental state poetry serves as my outlet. My work explores identity, asexuality, memory, and the body, using symbolic language to capture experiences and sentiments. On this blog, I share these poems.
Poetry to me is a way of understanding both myself and the world. Outside of writing, I love mathematics and linguistics! I am deeply drawn to the ways meaning is built and sustained and that is something I plan on cultivating through this literary journey. On that note, I love reading literature of all kinds and I have been writing prose since 2022 and poetry since late 2023. When I have free time I study latin something which began when I started categorizing genus’ of catfish in 2023 and has, since then, grown into much more than that! Through my literary work showcased here, I also want to draw attention to the importance of respect for all identities and ways of existing. Poetry, to me, is cultivation and it requires a space where care and understanding should always be preserved.
